the #CREATIVEGENIUS movement
Helping students Use Their Creativity to handle obstacles, boost confidence & rock opportunies
Audience: Grades 8-12
Keynote: 45-60 minutes
The Not-So-Great News: Social media & reality television [among other things] have made kids forget they’re actually creative. The Good News: Every single human being is born creative. The Even Better News: We’re all ONE creative act away from making the world a better place.
Key Outcomes Include:
Understanding how reality TV & social media has changed the way we set goals and see the world
Acknowledging and understanding we’re all creative - and that doesn’t mean you have to be an ‘artist’ when you grow up
Identify new and unexpected ways to incorporate creativity into our lives
Hey there, I’m WENDY RUSSELL. And I help student leaders use their creativity to handle obstacles, boost confidence & rock opportunities. Welcome to the #CREATIVEGENIUS movement!
We’re all born geniuses…..and maybe more importantly, creative geniuses. I can’t tell you how many people say to me “I don’t have a single creative bone in my body.” But they’re comparing themselves to a ‘genius’ archetype. Understanding that creativity helps us in every area of our lives will only make us lives happier and more successful.
Most people know me as the TV host and creator of HGTV’s She’s Crafty, but I’ve also been keeping busy as a keynote speaker, writer, decorator, renovator, real estate investor, professional organizer, home stager and instructor. Oh, and if I may ‘play big’ here for a moment and say award-winning producer and multi-nominated TV host. Ahem. At the moment you can find me making appearances on CityTV’s CityLine as a Guest Expert.
I’m crazy passionate about inspiring students & youth leaders to use their creativity to make the world a better place for themselves and others, no matter what they “want to be when they grow up”. Can’t wait to see more students unleash their #CreativeGenius on the world!
With love, light & creativity,
